Welcome 2015!

I didn't make any New Year Resolutions, did you?  I'm not one that likes the idea of not meeting my goals.  What I do instead, is to make lists of things I would like to accomplish and a date to finish.  I make sure that I don't overwhelm myself and make it so that I can succeed.

I list things that are either my hobbies or passions.  If it is a crochet or knitting project, I take the pattern or site where it is on the web, gather the items needed and put it all together.  Personal goals are added to my calendar.

So far, I have a goal to make 50 charity hats for 2 orphanages that I contributed to in 2014. That deadline is in November so I should have no problem meeting that one.  I also want to find a local organization to donate my time with.  Something maybe to do with babies (no brainer, right).

I also want to do some give away raffles.  I would think that any of my customers would love that.. What do you think would be a good give away for me?  Give me some suggestions..

I'd also love to do some YouTube tutorials.

Well, hopefully I'll be better at posting in 2015..

Mothers Day -An Adventure at the Dallas Zoo

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. I got to see 3 of my kiddo's and the youngest Grandson.  I thought it would be a great adventure to go to the Zoo. Chipmunk (Grandson) has never been and he didn't quite know what to make of all the animals, sounds, and smells!

I thought I'd share part of it with you. We entered one of the bird feeding cages and this is what happened to my daughter.  Grandson was a little intimidated by all the beautiful parrots though, but the little voice you hear in the background was instructing me to send it to his Daddy via Email or Facebook!

I haven't been able to post on my blog for such  a long time. I'm thinking I just may have to have a great giveaway here soon.  I went ahead and hired a graphic artist and had our very own logo made. Here is what Red Klovers did for me.

Today, I wanted to send out a prayer  to our neighboring friends in Oklahoma. Our hearts break for all the people lost in this tragic storm.

You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

My New Babies

I realized that I have been so lazy with posting anything to my Blog, but that's where the lazy stops for me.  I've been so busy with my shop(s) that I haven't had time to post anything!

So... I thought I'd begin trying to be more active. I decided a couple weeks ago that I needed a model for my shop. My little helper "Chipmunk" is growing by leaps and bounds and my specialty items are more for Newborns and baby showers. I'm going to have to start working on things for his age group soon..

Back to the models.  I knew I needed a baby that looked as real as possible, so my search began on Ebay.  I found several that I liked, bid, and lost. Then one lovely store owner there gave me some good tips on Ebay bidding, and my search found 2 that I really liked. Like my addiction to fabric, my excitement for bidding was overwhelming!

Here are my 2 new models for SnuggleBug Baby &ME!  Tell me what you think..

This is Charlie. He was born on March 17, 2013.

Here's Sera. She's a Sweetheart.

Helpful Hints and Tips #2

Wish I had found this at Christmas

Word of caution on this one.  Put a cover over anything with sauce, unless you want an explosion of sauce in your microwave. What a mess!

I use a spaghetti stick for lighting the fireplace, have for years.
I hope these are helpful to some of youhttp://snugglebugbabyandme.blogspot.com/p/helpful-hints-and-tips.html.

Helpful Hints and Tips #1

Over the next several days, I'm going to give everyone some Helpful tidbits that even I had not even considered. Here goes...enjoy!

This brings those hanging plastic hangers to a whole different level.

Perfect for lunches and beverage totes huh?

Not just for checks. Who keeps loose checks anymore?
I'm always looking for something to store spagetti in! You can even customize it with rolling a piece of white paper around the container, secure it with scotch tape, and write what the contents are.
